Currently, Landívar is implementing a 10-year renewed strategic plan, proposing a comprehensive educational transformation. At the same time, it has international agreements in force with other medical schools, including the Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, Georgetown University, among others. The main existing agreement is with the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance, which in Guatemala is the governmental unit that governs and regulates medical care throughout the country.  This agreement has allowed the students of the different careers of the faculty to carry out their professional practices to strengthen their academic degrees.
